Ocean is our partner

From the salt marshes of the Guérande Peninsula, the main active ingredients incorporated into our products highlight these natural resources while respecting the balance of a unique, ancient ecosystem. An entire organic farming sector has been developed in partnership with the Guérande Salt Cooperative, whose salt workers harvest Mother-Waters, algae, clay, salicornia, etc., following seasonal principles and always taking only what is necessary.

A French footprint, organic know-how

Guérande Cosmetiques products are designed, formulated, and manufactured in France, in our Research and Development laboratory, which has unique expertise in the creation of organic products. In this field, we meet the most demanding and rigorous specifications. This expertise also draws on our ability to integrate Mother-Waters, our key active ingredient, into product formulations. Indeed, these waters, which are ultra-rich in minerals and trace elements, have required numerous tests to ensure formula stability.
Our products contain no raw materials of animal origin, are made up of at least 99% natural ingredients, and are certified organic ,according to the Cosmos Organic charter by the independent organization Ecocert.

Eco-friendly production

Guérande Cosmetiques products are manufactured in France, in a building constructed according to the HQE (High Environmental Quality) standard. Its design includes high-performance insulation materials and features a green roof. 40% of the energy used on-site is self-produced, thanks to a mix of renewable energy sources: photovoltaic power stations, solar panels, a wind turbine, and two biomass boilers. Overall, 100% of the energy consumed for production comes from renewable sources.
The production site is also equipped with its own ecological wastewater treatment plant.
EIt operates using a biological process, relying on bacteria that naturally biodegrade materials. This action is complemented by reed beds that complete the water purification process. This method is known as phyto-purification.
Finally, the estate where the production site is located preserves the biological balance and is home to 176 animal species.

The eco-design of our bottles

Concerned about its environmental impact, Guérande Cosmetiques makes eco-design a priority, while refusing to compromise on the quality of its products, which are protected by ergonomic packaging. Whenever possible, packaging is minimized, with the development of eco-refills, reduction in plastic weight, and elimination of outer boxes.
The paper and cardboard used come from sustainably managed forests, and sourcing studies for materials are actively conducted to offer packaging made from recycled plastic and glass.
In anticipating the end of the packaging lifecycle, our products' packaging is designed to be 100% recyclable.

A Mission Company that goes

Biodiversity calls for philanthropy

Several years ago, in a desire to further act in favor of nature conservation, the company created the Science & Nature Foundation. Housed under the Fondation de France, it supports research, conservation, and the sharing of knowledge related to the plant world. It is notably a partner of the National Museum of Natural History and launches calls for projects every two years to fund initiatives related to nature conservation.
